  • Explore an underwater landscape

Learn to dive in the crystal-clear blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, gain your SSI Open Water certificate. You can then explore the striking underwater scenery alongside highly skilled diving instructors. Those who already hold the Open Water certificate can choose to do a more advanced course.

  • Be part of a conservation effort

During your dive experience, you will learn about the dangers of plastics in our oceans and get the chance to do a beach clean-up and participate in a unique recycle program with your dive provider and Precious Plastics.

  • Get off the beaten track

Karpenissi is often called 'Switzerland of Greece' because of its mountainous terrain and wild beauty, not commonly found in the Mediterranean. Discover the traditional little town of Karpenissi, an alpine-style town, before heading out on some challenging hikes. The imposing mountains of Karpenissi create the perfect backdrop for outdoor enthusiasts, with rushing rivers and beautiful gorges to explore.

  • Experience a new culture

Athens is one of the oldest cities in the world with records showing the city’s origins go back to around 3,400 years ago. It is considered the birthplace of democracy, western philosophy (think Socrates, Plato and Aristotle) and classical art and architecture. The first Olympic Games were held in 776 B.C in Olympia but were interestingly enough, never held in Athens.

What to expect

  • Terrain

Greece has the longest coastline in Europe and is the southernmost country in Europe. The mainland has rugged mountains, forests, and lakes, but the country is well known for the thousands of islands dotting the blue Aegean Sea to the east, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, and the Ionian Sea to the west.

  • Weather

For the most part, Greece’s weather follows a typical Mediterranean climate pattern with hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. The mountains experience very different weather than the lower regions of the country, their climate is alpine and higher altitude means cooler temperatures.

  • Culture

Greece has been influenced by its location at the confluence of the East and the West and by the continued occupation of Greece and its people from the Romans until its independence from the Ottoman Empire in the 19th Century. Traditions in mainland Greece and Greek Islands either have a Christian religious character or come from pagan beliefs. Religion plays an important role in the understanding of daily culture. Wonderful regional traditions, religion, music, language, food and wine, are the major composites of the culture.
